Trinity Youth Mission Trip 2008 -
Some of Trinity’s youth are going on a mission trip this summer. The trip will be run in partnership with Youth in Mission (YIM), the Presbyterian Church in Canada’s Youth Missions Network. We will be going to Mistawasis, a first nations reserve in Saskatchewan.
During our trip we will be running a VBS style day camp with the children in the area, participating in a local church service and other opportunities. This trip will give each and every teen an opportunity to grow significantly and give them a unique and exciting experience to see more of Canada another culture. This trip requires a significant amount of support, here is how you can help
Spiritual Support: Pray for the team, pray for the VBS, pray for the people of Mistawasis, pray for safe travel and that we would be able to raise enough money to go.
Practical: We need some specific things that can be donated, sports gear, blank t-shirts, arts and craft supplies, you can also give an encouraging word to the team. Finally you can hire one or more of the teens to help out around the house, to baby sit, to peel wall paper and donate to the trip in their name.
Financially: The teens will be working very hard to get enough support to be able to take this trip. So as well as much needed prayer and practical support we ask that you consider investing in one or more of these teens as they make this life changing journey. Here’s how you can help: Donate funding by cheque to Trinity Presbyterian Church putting the person you are supporting and Trinity Youth Mission in the memo line. Secondly look out for our awesome fund raisers that we have coming up in the Spring and Summer. The events will be advertised and publicized in the bulletin and other communications. They include a family movie night, garage sale and Canada Day.
Each student has to raise almost $1500. Please prayerfully consider this ministry opportunity and invest in this experience for these youth.
Thanks and Blessings
