Soup’s On

For several years now, Trinity has marked the beginning of Lent with a lunch hour program to which everyone in the community and surrounding workplaces is invited. The luncheons take place once a week throughout Lent.
The program, consisting of a brief but meaningful service, followed by a delicious lunch has become increasingly popular each year as the word spreads. The service of about 20 minutes includes readings, prayer and musical performances by a number of talented and well known community performers. These services help us to remember and reflect on the importance of the Lenten period, of God’s sacrifice for us and the truly important priorities of life.
The lunches of delectable soups, sandwiches and squares, just seem to get better each year or maybe it’s because of the good fellowship that accompanies this good old fashioned comfort food. Watch your local newspaper for commencing date or check our News & Events Section.
