Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School (VBS)  2010,

Trinity is sorry to announce that after such successful previous year programs , that VBS will not be offered at Trinity this year.  As you may be aware Trinity  is hoping to change locations, pending completion of a successful sale of their present premises.   Due to the uncertainty of this situation the decision was made by the VBS Committee to not offer VBS in 2010, rather than risk having to cancel at the last minute due to lack of facilities.  This decision will allow faithful supporters of Trinity’s VBS to make alternate arrangements at a number of other programs offered in the surrounding community. We  look forward to being able to offer even more interesting programs in the summers to follow in our new and larger favilities at 1817 Richardson Side Rd (corner of Huntmar).

Have a great, safe and God blessed summer.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL (VBS)

2009

VBS 2009 at Trinity

Vacation Bible School, Wildwood Forest,2009, which ran from July 27th to 31st, 9 am to noon was an adventure into the untamed nature of God. All week, participants learned about how God is undefeatable, unmatchable, uncontainable, unpredictable, and unforgettable. It was our prayer that everyone made connections and memories that will last a lifetime and their relationships with God grew.

The theme of VBS 2009 was Wildwood Forest, a place where  children could:

  • discover the untamed nature of God
  • learn that God’s character goes beyond their imaginations  and can be revealed in exciting, unexpected ways
  • embark on a thrilling journey.  In every corner, children will
  • encounter the fascinating, life-transforming nature of God in every corner
  • find that He is as wild as He is good
  • experience the many facets of God’s character with Bible dramas at The Great Oak Theater,
  • challenge their game playing skills at the Vine Land Adventure Course
  • see God’s power firsthand through fun experiments  at the Glow Rock Hideaway
  • create memorable crafts at the Treetop Art Studio
  • enjoy a time of refreshment and rest with tasty snacks at Harvest Grove
  • worship our amazing God at The Heights.

Each child has a special place in this forest, regardless of age, as the program has been developed to reach children  at their own level.

Registration was  open to children entering Junior Kindergarten in September 2009 through to, those going into Grade 6.

Trinity’s Vacation Bible School (VBS) has always  been a big hit and the only complaint heard about previous VBS camps from  all of the participants was that it wasn’t run all summer.   The enthusiasm of the children attending VBS is  contagious and adjectives such as “awesome”, “fantastic” “fun filled” “biblically educational” are only a few of the descriptions used to describe this week full of crafts, songs, games, snacks, stories, plays and bible lessons.

Each day the children are lead through a fast paced series of activities that teaches and reinforces the Bible lesson for the day. Side benefits include making friends with the other children and the adult volunteers, learning how to help team members and acquiring, according to statistics on vacation bible schools, the equivalent of a whole year’s worth of Sunday School in the space of one week.
