Building Committee

In February, 2000, the Trinity Building Planning Committee was initiated at Trinity. After careful deliberation it was decided that it would be more feasible to build on a new site rather that expand the present site at 110 McCurdy Dr. Thus began an exciting new phase in the history of Trinity and an intense time of planning by the Building Committee. In 2001 we were blessed with a donation of 4 acres of land by the Powell family. Since that time this Committee and its various sub-committees have been very active indeed with the myriad of details required by such an undertaking – obtaining the required permission from Presbytery, re-zoning applications, hiring Architect, Ralph Vandenberg Inc., examining and reviewing design plans and proposals, sale of our present property, hiring a construction management firm, Hawkey Church Management Ltd., coordinating work teams of volunteers, coordinating transition teams and dealing with the ever present awareness of financial needs.

This committee continues to meet each and every obstacle. So it is with great excitement that we anticipate being in our new surroundings in 2008 in a facility that will allow us the space to pursue the many new programs planned for the future and expand on present ones.
